Heather Karr, PTA

Heather Karr has been with The Spine Center since its opening in September, 2007. She became one of our first staff members because she was excited about helping to establish a new physical therapy program in a new facility. She has prior experience in both manual and aquatic therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings. Heather takes a hands-on approach in following the patient care plan established by the Physical Therapist and works one-on-one with her patients for 45 minutes to an hour. Typically, her treatments involve myofascial release and soft-tissue mobilization. Heather enjoys treating patients with low back pain, and says the best part of her job is, “helping people return to mobility and their prior lifestyles.” Her vision for The Spine Center is to help it become a place where “everything is offered under one roof so we can all provide better care and benefit patients. That’s part of the reason I came here, because we can collaborate with The Spine Center physicians to treat all aspects of a patient.”
Heather recently became engaged and enjoys spending time with her fiancé and her 8 year-old son.
