Dr. Richardson is from the Detroit area, where her grandfather was an osteopathic physician. Being raised in the tradition of holistic medicine inspired her to pursue a career as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician. She offers a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care. Her work at the Rehabilitation Institute in Chicago inspired her focus on a more functional, less narcotic approach to patient treatment. While there, she also won several teaching awards, conducted research and lectured on a variety of topics. Dr. Richardson especially enjoys working with patients who actively participate in their own recovery. She says, “It’s amazing to be able to watch the heights to which a human spirit can rise to meet a challenge.” Dr. Richardson treats patients with all forms of disability, acquired, genetic and traumatic. She looks forward to seeing The Spine Center become a comprehensive, holistic center for neuro-musculoskeletal excellence in Michigan.
Dr. Richardson enjoys skiing, biking, the beaches of Michigan and spending time with her family, friends and her dog.
