Jennifer Flaminio is a licensed clinical Social Worker who joined The Spine Center in August, 2009. Previously Ms. Flaminio worked with Catholic Charities, a non-profit organization in Owosso, Mich. and as a contractual Psychotherapist for Dr. John Jerome's private practice. She continues to work closely with Dr. Jerome at The Spine Center in providing psychotherapy to patients struggling with pain and the emotional effects of managing a chronic illness.
Her methods include teaching patients coping skills such as relaxation techniques and stress management via Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition to psychological pain management, Ms. Flaminio is trained to provide substance abuse counseling and crisis intervention. She joined The Spine Center because of our people, our philosophy and because we provide the opportunity to meet her long-time personal goal of working "in a state-of-the-art practice that follows a holistic model."
Originally from Iron Mountain, Mich., Jennifer and her husband are MSU hockey and football fans. Ms. Flaminio also enjoys yoga, jewelry-making, reading, hiking and playing with her two dogs.
